We went to the other Darya restaurant in OC and had a great experience, so we know the food here is good and authentic. As in every Persian restaurant, the portion was decent with huge piles of rice with different toppings and flavors. We ordered the rice sampler with three different flavors, smoky eggplant paste as appetizer, and a HUGE meat platter with grilled chicken, beef koobideh and filet mignon. Everything was cooked to perfection, tons of juice and flavors! Highly recommend.

Solid Persian food - I still prefer Taste of Tehran for takeout but Darya is better as a dine in experience. My friend and I loved the cheesy dated decor and the blunt service (the "ok what do you want to eat?" waitress greeting cracked us up). Prices are super reasonable for the area, including decent bottles of wine around $35. Adas polo was our favorite dish but the chicken was a bit dry. We also had the eggplant, koobideh, pickles (on the menu as "cucumbers soaked in vinegar"), and yogurt. It was pretty packed by the time we left around 8pm and had a cozy casual vibe. Great spot for families or large groups who just want to enjoy a meal without any pretentious fuss.

Fantastic Persian food. Great service. The decor is glamorous and ornate with a huge chandelier and mirrors on the walls. A bit like if you stepped into a classic restaurant in Paris. It's relaxed and fun. The food was very fresh, and the khobideh and chicken were very juicy. They have Tadiq with different toppings... try it with fesenjon. Easy parking in the back. It's super casual but with a very glamorous looking interior. The tables are a little worn but I love that it is very authentic and such a nice change from many of the other stark dining rooms of a few other Persian restaurants in the area.

Only tried the food at Darya to-go! Food was quite good - especially the beef kabobs (both koobideh and filet mignon barg). The eggplant appetizer kashkeh bademjan was delicious too. Lubia polo was the least favorite. Service was good and friendly. We didn't stay in the restaurant, it seemed very lively and quite loud when we picked up the food. Food is definitely pricey, but good.
